DeVry Westminster Library Policies
Behavior Policy
- Noise: Library patrons should be considerate of other patrons by keeping voice and other sound levels as low as possible. Radios and cell phones should not be used in the Library.
- Furniture: Library furniture is exclusively for reading and studying. Furniture should not be relocated or used for sleeping.
- Food and Drink: Food and beverages can pose a threat to Library materials and furnishing. Please be very careful and only bring in drink containers with lids.
Borrowing/Loan Policy
All circulating library materials may be checked out by students, faculty, and staff with valid student photo identification.
- Books in the regular collection: 2 week loan; renewal is allowed, providing that no holds have been placed on the item.
- Other circulating items:
Videos: 1 week loan
CD-ROMs: 2 weeks loan
DVDs: 1 week loan
Copyright
The Library recognizes and respects intellectual property rights. A photocopier is available for copies. The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, US Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Photocopies or other reproductions can be furnished only under certain conditions. This institution reserves the right to refuse copies if fulfillment of the order would violate the copyright law.
Equipment Available at the Library
The Library provides:
- 17 computer stations with internet access
- Study tables with laptop computer data ports
- Printer and Photocopier
- Private study rooms and conference rooms
Fines Policy
Books: $0.25/day
Books with cd's and disks, videos: $0.50/day
Lost/Damaged Items Policy
All borrowers are responsible for the replacement cost of any lost or damaged items checked out to them. There will be a $15.00 processing charge per item for replacing materials.
Renewal Policy
You may renew circulating items, as many times as you like, unless there is a hold placed on a particular item. You may renew by telephone by calling (303) 280-7620 or email mwagoner@den.devry.edu.
