Support Services

It won't be long before you know your way around DeVry. There are many places and people to help you within this school. Here is a brief look at some of those places. Check them out...and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Health Insurance
All registered full-time DeVry University students are required to purchase insurance under the Group Health Plan unless proof of comparable coverage is furnished. All registered part-time DeVry University students may be in the insurance plan on a voluntary basis. All part-time students taking less than 6 credit hours are not eligible for this insurance coverage.

To file a claim, print the claim form from http://www.student-resources.net/ web address. Mail the original receipt and a copy of the prescription label on bottle of medication (get a second copy of this from the pharmacy. Make a copy of all documentation for your records. The mailing address is listed on the claim form. The address and telephone number are on the insurance card or call 800-767-0700. Remember: file a claim within 30 days of sickness. To be considered for payment, the company must receive the bill within 90 days after receiving a service. Feel free to contact Student Services regarding any questions concerning the health insurance coverage.

All annual insurance policies expire the first of November each year. It is the student's responsibility to renew the policy with DeVry University. Premiums may be paid to Student Accounts by cash, check, Master Card, Visa, or Discover. Only the basic student coverage may be charged on your student account using EDUCARD.

Student Phone Calls & Incoming Mail
DeVry University accepts no responsibility for relaying phone messages to students, with the exception of emergencies and employers. You are responsible for informing the U.S. Post Office, relatives, friends and associates of a proper Colorado mailing address. No department will accept mail addressed to the student in care of the school.

Carpools
As a service to students, the Student Services Office will assist students in organizing car pools. A list is generated indicating those students who wish to be involved as a rider or a driver. After looking through the list for students in your area, you are able to contact them for possible car-pooling arrangements.

Referrals-Counseling & Guidance
The Student Services Office maintains an extensive listing of counselors and hotlines. If you have a personal concern and would like professional assistance, please visit the Dean of Student Affairs/designee.

Bulletin Boards
Student Services maintains several of the hallway bulletin boards. If a student is interested in posting a flyer, he/she would need to come to Student Services to seek approval. Student Services would then deem if it were appropriate literature to post. Approved literature may remain posted on the bulletin board for a 2 week period.
